It’s 2018 and I’m proud to say Espresso Dave’s Coffee Catering’s celebrating 25 years in business! I, along with my merry band of baristas, caffeinate crowds andprovide goodwill and good times throughout the country. I look forward to another 25 more years of being of service to clients, new and old!
Terrific tales from 25 years in business
I’ve experienced some amazing adventures during my 25 years in business. The business has changed a lot since 1993. Back in the day, you couldn’t find a Starbucks in our region; Dunkin’-Time-to-Make-the-Donuts fueled New England!
There are a few questions I’m asked on a regular basis about my business as a specialty coffee caterer. Some of the answers you’re probably not going to believe. But, I promise, they’re all true!
Espresso Dave’s is based in Boston. Do you travel beyond Massachusetts to provide specialty coffee at events?
Yep! We regularly travel throughout New England and have served in Seattle, Orlando, Jackson Hole, New York City, Washington, D.C. Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Chicago, San Diego, San Jose, and Hawaii.
Which hi-profile events have you served at in Boston?
The Boston Marathon, Boston’s Head of the Charles, Democratic National Convention.
What’s the largest crowd you’ve served?
The Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference, 10,000 attendees/10 carts.
Have you served royalty or world leaders?
Yes, we’ve served the King of Sweden, former Prime Minister of Italy, Matteo Renzi, and the former presidents of Mexico and Uruguay.
How about movie stars?
As Barista to the Stars, we’ve caffeinated some of the biggest in the business, including Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, Adam Sandler, Steve Martin, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Cameron Diaz, Rob Lowe, Jason Segel, Kevin Bacon, and Matthew McConaughey.
Where were the most unusual places you’ve set up your cart(s)?
Cruising on a Boston Harbor Cruises’ ship; under a tent on the outfield at Fenway Park; in a VIP box overlooking the ice at a Bruins’ game, and on the parquet floor at the Boston Garden.
Did you ever participate in a television show?
Yes! I was part of the winning wedding team on TLC’s Four Weddings. Go Team Enza!
Looking forward
I’m very thankful for the amazing friendors, clients, suppliers, and baristas I’ve worked with through the years. Stay tuned to learn about some big plans my team and I have to celebrate 25 years in business.
